Why Turtle Souls?

Just reaching adulthood is a challenge for many turtles – after hatching on the beach, simply making it to the water is a deadly ordeal. The odds are against them; however, those who successfully make it to adulthood can live up to 100 years! Turtles have challenges, such as raccoons, crabs, birds, and a host of other predators in the ocean. We have felt like the turtle, that the world is against us. Yet through faith and grace, our accomplishments have been slow and steady, with ups and downs, trials and blessings. We continue to be amazed by the glorious journey we have had. As we prayed to see what symbol could reflect the many chapters of our life and where we're today, we thought of the turtle. The answer came to us through prayer; we are Turtle Souls.
